After the success of selling their souls to Sky, the GAA have turned their attentions to a new offering for the soggy months ahead. At HQ today Aogán Ó Fearghaíl unveiled the new official GAA Umbrella as designed by Joe Brolly which will go on sale to the public tomorrow.
The sleek new design has a built in double protection system which keeps the rain out while also helping to shield the wearer from cans of dutch gold thrown by Dublin fans in Hill 16. ‘Created through patented technology and using only the finest hairs from Ciarán McDonald’s scalp we have created one of the best high performance sports umbrella’s on the market’ claimed a GAA umpire while leaning out of his coffin.
Joe Brolly is most famous for his glasses and his off-screen relationship with Stephen Hunt. For years however the Irish public have been amazed by his surname and have waited in anticipation for this product launch. It was quite fitting then that Joe himself came onto the stage wearing the new brolly to Rihanna’s 2007 hit single Umbrella.
‘Today’s a special day for the GAA, he is only one man but he is probably the Conor McGregor of GAA punditry’ claimed a man from Derry with glasses.
